This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why, and what we do with it. It is written to meet Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

What we collect

Information you give us. If you contact us by form, email or phone, we collect your name, contact details, and whatever you choose to tell us about your project. We ask for the minimum needed to reply and scope the work.

Information collected automatically. Standard analytics: pages viewed, approximate location at city level, device and browser type, and how you arrived. This is aggregate and is not used to identify you individually.

We do not collect payment details through this website.

Why we collect it

To answer your enquiry, prepare a quote, deliver work you have engaged us for, and where you have expressly agreed, to send occasional updates. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties except the service providers who host this site, run our analytics, and handle our email.

Consent and email

Where we collect an email address for marketing, we ask for express consent at the point of collection, as Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) requires. Every marketing email carries an unsubscribe link that works, and withdrawing consent takes effect promptly.

Transactional messages are not marketing and continue regardless. That means replying to your enquiry, sending a quote, and ordinary project correspondence.

Filming and footage

Where we film on a client's premises, anyone appearing recognisably on camera is asked for written consent before that footage is published. If you appear in footage we have filmed and want it removed, contact us and we will act on it.

Cookies

This site uses cookies for analytics and to remember your light or dark theme preference. You can block or delete cookies in your browser; the site works without them, though the theme preference will not persist.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept while there is an active conversation and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you return. Project records are kept as long as needed for business and tax purposes. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

Your rights

You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to info@nxcentury.com and we will respond within a reasonable period. If you are not satisfied, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the date above and, where the change affects how we use information you have already given us, tell you directly.
