Not one person with a camera. When a shoot needs a cast, models or extras, we bring them. When it needs a second shooter, a location or a venue, we know who to call.
Book a call →NX Century is a creative growth collective in Edmonton, Alberta. We film content inside your business, run the social channels it feeds, and build the website and Google presence that gets you found. Your business is the set.
You provide the room. We handle everything that goes in it. That is the difference between hiring a videographer and working with us. A videographer turns up and points a camera at whatever is already there. If your idea needs four people in it, someone has to find four people, and that someone is usually you.
Collective means we already have those people. Crew, cast, models, extras, a second shooter, a venue when the concept needs one. Years of running events and shoots in this city is a network, and the network is most of what you are actually buying.
It goes past filming. We will grow your social, get you found on Google, and plan and fill an event if that is what the job is. Those are not separate departments here. They are the same people, which is why they end up pointing in the same direction.
And we are still small, on purpose. No account manager relaying your brief to a producer who briefs an editor you never meet. No stitching together three vendors who each blame the other two. One team, one point of contact, one group responsible for the result.
What that means in practice
- We bring the people. Cast, models and extras when a shoot needs them, at no scramble to you.
- We bring the places. Venues and locations through connections rather than cold enquiries.
- We run the whole chain. Idea, shoot, edit, posting, and the site people land on afterwards.
- We can throw the event too. Concept, venue, promotion and the recap, as we did for Blanko Galerie.
- You deal with us. The people on the call are the people on the shoot.
Questions we get asked
What does creative growth collective actually mean?
It means we are not a single freelancer and not a big agency. We are a small core team with a network around it, so a shoot that needs a cast, a second shooter or a venue gets one without you having to source it. You get the reach of a bigger outfit and the directness of a small one.
Who will I actually be dealing with?
The people you meet on the first call. Nothing gets handed down to an account manager or passed to a subcontractor you never speak to. That is the main reason we stay small.
Do I need to organise anything for a shoot?
Access to your space, and that is genuinely it. Crew, gear, cast and extras are ours to sort. If the concept needs a location that is not yours, we will find it.
Can you handle events as well as content?
Yes. We have planned events end to end, including the venue, the promotion and the recap film. If you need a room filled rather than a video made, that is a conversation worth having.
Where are you based?
Edmonton, Alberta. We film anywhere in the province, and further afield for bigger jobs. Web, search and Google work has no travel in it at all.
